WHAT KIND OF BLOGGER AM I? // WHO AM I? WHAT HAVE I BECOME?

So, today I am coming to you guys with another sort-of-discussion. Today I’m going to talk about myself (because I’m great) and who I am as a blogger (*coughs* actually, not so great). I have only been blogging for just under two years so I have only begun to figure out who I am as a blogger, which I hope is starting to show through my blog.

PROCRASTINATOR? I DON’T EVEN KNOW HER.

What kind of blogger am I? Well, as it turns out, I’m the procrastinating kind. It’s not intentional but sometimes I just get put off by writing a particular blog post, or I get distracted by other things and lose my mojo. Either way, I am not great at scheduling finished blog posts. At the moment I am roughly a week ahead which is great, but it’s nowhere where I would actually like to be.

I would love to be that blogger who has all their shit together. I would love to be able to reply to comments the day the post goes up and have perfect graphics and totally original content but I procrastinate too much for that to be possible for me at the moment.

What kind of blogger am I? I’m the she-does-not-enjoy-writing-discussion kind. I still write them, and i have written a whole lot of them lately, a whole lot more than usual anyway. I do enjoy the idea of discussion posts and I do enjoy reading them, myself. But, when it comes down to me writing them myself, I find that I don’t know how to get my point across without writing an essay. I find that I either write a post that’s entirely too long or I write something far too short. I find it difficult to get my point across and usually start a blog post with one thing in mind and end up talking about something else altogether. Discussions are difficult and if you write them regularly I bow down to you.

BOOK RECS ARE KIND OF MY THING.

What kind of blogger am I? The recommending kind. As I said before, I’m not big on writing discussion posts, but I do really enjoy recommending books, and so I do so quite often. The only downside? You have to read a lot of books and read a lot of different books as to make sure you’re not constantly recommending the same thing. I love it but it does sometimes feel like I’m not reading fast enough, so on months where I’m reading slower than usual I generally post other things, there will be more discussions or tags than usual.

What kind of blogger am I? The kind who hates reviewing. I don’t hate reading reviews but I’m also not in any kind of rush to read them either. I don’t always hate writing them, sometimes I just get into a real reviewing mood, but most of the time I despise them and avoid them at all costs. If you enjoy writing them I honestly envy you and wish I had that kind of superpower at my disposal.

IT’S ANXIETY O’CLOCK WITH THIS GIRL! 🀷

What kind of blogger am I? I’m the kind who writes a full blog post, schedules it, reads it a few days later and then chucks it in the trash folder never to be seen again. I am the kind of blogger who will trash a post a few hours before it’s meant to go up because IT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR MY PEOPLE and then I have to think of something new and then put that up!

What kind of blogger am I? I’m the kind who schedules ideas months (and sometimes years) ahead. I don’t know why I do it but hey, I have already planned posts from now through to September. It sounds ridiculous but it works for me. I start Uni halfway through this year so I’m hoping having my ideas planned out now will also help to take some of the stress off blogging for me, I know it worked for me when I as in High School.
